Back to School

Back to school is a bittersweet time for many families. The kids are heading back to school or entering class for the first time ever. Moms everywhere are crying in car line and then there are moms like me who have been counting down the days. I love those babies, but we are ready to get back in the swing of things. That being said, sending my baby (2 year old) to school for the first time still has me in my feelings a bit.

With the start of school comes the start of snotty noses and mysterious coughs. We all try to take our AndiLynn's elderberry syrup daily. It's all made locally and has local honey and black elderberry juice. The Fall blend also has echinacea, which is great for boosting immunity as well. If we had any littles below age one, I would definitely keep a stash of elderberry pure immune drops on hand. They're safe for any age. The cool thing about these blends is that they are made with local ingredients. Visit AndiLynn's website for more information about that. Always consult your pediatrician if you're uncertain.

We are just about to start the lunch bunch program at our preschool. The joy of making all those lunches will soon be here. This year I'm going to try the Yumbox Lunchbox. They have separate compartments for different items and can even hold yogurt or dips. They are individually sealed. They're so cute too. They can easily be vinyled with your child's name. I am thinking about getting the Panino style because we send sandwiches often. It's okay that you'll send a lunchable every now and then too, mom. I will too. I will also try a jujube fuel fell as a lunch bag. They are adorably cute and they will help keep the food cold as well. They'd work for hot food in a thermos too.
Back to school is a great time to implement a responsibility chart with your tots. Look, I have plans to start one, but it hasn't happened just yet. We have Melissa and Doug responsibility/chore charts in stock here. They're neat because you can personalize them according to what your family needs.
We also have tons of toys made for learning. We have lots of puzzles as well as magnet letters, and more. The Maple Landmark Spinny is really neat, too. So many of our toys are highly recommended by local therapists. Teachers also love shopping here (great teacher gifts!).
As the holidays approach, we are all starting to plan for gift-giving. If you haven't been to the shop yet or if it's been a minute, come by and see what's new! We will have the best selection of quality toys in town at reasonable prices. We are also happy to help you find the perfect gift that is sure to please.

Thanks for shopping small and a special thank you for shopping with South Coast Baby Company!
Sincerely,
Kelly
